Ashlar Series Advantages
RockCast’s Ashlar Series features Cantera Stone and Muro Stone which both offer the dramatic benefits of this celebrated series, with variances in color, spec and design.
- Life Cycle – While other architectural stone products may claim to be strong, they cannot offer the life cycle of the Ashlar Series.
- Moisture Control – The Ashlar Series, with cavity wall construction and Integral Water Repellent (IWR), is a significant selling advantage if moisture control is a concern.
- Accent Capability - Installing brick and custom architectural stone accents on top of thin adhered stone is not possible because there is no bearing point.
- Ready Order – The Ashlar Series uses Reading Rock’s Ready Service Program and is available in three weeks or less.
- Cost Efficiencies – Labor and materials are less than natural stone products.
- Durability – Other machine produced natural stone products cannot be used at grade or cleanse with acid-based products.
- Standards – The Ashlar Series is consistently produced to ASTM standard C90, ensuring product performance.
- The LEED Advantage – RockCast products are considered a superior choice for sustainable building. They are durable and highly reflective to reduce the heat island effect. RockCast products also use local materials and take advantage of thermal mass for better energy efficiency. Reading Rock’s use of supplementary cementitious replacement materials can also help you achieve additional LEED credits on your projects.
